Le Moulin à Paroles (Québec City, Québec)

We spent several hours watching this event on television. (A cold virus had forced us to stay home from our other activities and thus allowed us to watch this instead.) Le Moulin à Paroles was an event held in Québec City September 12-13 that highlighted the survival, the vitality, and the diversity of the Québec nation. We were deeply moved. We witnessed diversity and a great pride. We’d like to highlight the speech Louise Beaudoin gave to the National Assembly about the event.

In her speech, Louise Beaudoin noted that Le Moulin à Paroles contributed an account of our history, reminded us of our battles (the losses as well as the wins), and that most of all the immersion into our history provided by this event gave us a profound sense of our collective spirit and venture in North America.

Thanks to VOX for the retransmission of the event
